I just glanced up, peeking out around the painted "U" on the window of the Einstein Bagels that I'm sitting in, and saw the most beautiful silver lining on a low hanging cloud. If you follow college football at all, you might appreciate the irony of a cloud with a visible silver lining hanging low over Rice-Eccles stadium at the University of Utah. For a team that went undefeated all the way through the Sugar Bowl and still only finished ranked second in the country ... you have to know there is a silver lining out there. And maybe it's not a BCS bid.
Although, given the current system, I'm not sure what would be a Silver Lining for the Utes, other than that. But this isn't about the unfair ranking system of the BCS - we've all been there, done that, and signing day has come and gone for college football. There are other things to worry about - like who might be going to the NCAA tournament. (Note - it won't be the Utes.)
And on that note, I'd like to welcome you readers to my little spot on the interwebs. Having spent a long time thinking about the best way to manage the many varied thoughts in my head, I've come here, rather than scatter them across the world wide blogosphere.
What will you find here? Writing updates of mine - linked to my website, pageantzine.net, or any other publications out there in the ether. You will find commentary and thoughts on industry happenings. You will get thought processes on all different sorts of genre fandoms. I look forward to writing, and to getting to know you!
Peace,
Shauna
